After using this forum since it came out , I still HATE it. Don't come to the board very often anymore.

Was the new format Yahoo's decision or BWIs?

Im curious how bad sessions dropped off after the change

Walleye38, like you I preferred the old format, but it is what it is. It's been less than a week. There are some things that are better. One thing I like is that when you edit a post there is nothing that says you did so. The old system indicated on the post when edits were made. This is cleaner and if you screw up, there is less of a trail. For people like me, that's a benefit. Also, adding pictures and videos is much easier. Hang in there. Give it some time.

And yet, here you are, on the board complaining about the board and claiming you don't visit often. #fwp
where else is anyone supposed to complain - give me a break! this change does not help the consumer! the thread view allowed one to open the site and quickly glean the latest posts and the posters! the new format is a hit and miss quagmire taking up too much time.

I simply love irony.

Like others have said.... I think it's geared towards smart phones and tablets, and not so friendly on computers. I think there are positives and negatives to the changes, but it won't keep me away. Just my own opinion.....

Based on other site's data I'm very familiar with, I'd venture that the % of people accessing rivals on mobile devices is significantly greater than the % of those accessing on desktop. The fact that the old version was practically unusable on a mobile device I have no doubt played a huge role in the shift. Plus of course the fact that the old software was very, very dated.

I'm a desktop Luddite, but no doubt you are correct. In my line of work we spend a lot of our time being sure that sites are mobile responsive - that and accessible for users with disabilities.
