Hey Guys -

Hope it's okay to start a thread to introduce myself. I'm a long time lurker here and I'm caving in and joining (right as the season is ending) I'm pretty shocked it's taking me this long actually. This forum is amazing, I always find myself on here whenever Penn State is wrestling for the updates and reactions. I love Penn State Wrestling and talking about it and have an account (under the same name) at 247 Sports. Not quite the same.

Heck of a meet today! Went about what most expected, was hoping Nick would get a chance to go but understand Cassar earned the spot. It's technically Cassar's senior day as well (since the NCAA technically hasn't ruled on his case yet, though it's a virtual lock he gets the 6th year) but I wanted to give a shoutout to Nick (basically copying my post from 247) He's the ultimate team player in what is more or less more of an individual sport. It also speaks volumes of the incredible family environment Cael and his staff has created - that it's about the team in the end of the day. After everything he has gone through in his career, it's incredible what he accomplished and he was a huge part of this amazing run we've had. 2x AA in his 2 healthy seasons. He never stopped grinding.

I actually think Nick getting hurt at Nationals last year was maybe the main reason (I know in a large tournament you can point to multiple things) the team race had to come down to Bo/MyMar. Had he been healthy, I think he gets past Stoll a 3rd time last season and likely beats Kasper (2-1 against him previously) to get a rematch with Dhesi in the 3rd/4th place match. Even if he loses that, the team title is basically locked up after Cenzo beat IMar. Obviously, what ended up happening is the #1 NCAA Wrestling moment of all time.

We Are!
