As we hear of the incident in NO during the early morning hours, the Police agencies speaking out just cause me to shake my head in disbelief of their professionalism. The NO Police Rep said that the perpetrator "drove around the barriers." What the hell kind of barriers are these when a driver could circumvent the barriers. By my definition those are anything but "BARRIERS!"
Next up is the New Orlean's Office of the FBI and keeping in mind that when she addressed the public it was known that 10 are deceased 30+ are injured by the driver's actions of intentionally driving into and over them. Then when the driver wrecked, he started shooting and wounded 2 police officers, before he lost his life, by means unknown or at least not reported. The NO Police Rep in her statement immediately prior to the FBI spokesperson addressed the public stated that it was an act of terrorism, which seemed perfectly apparent to me. However, the FBI lady clearly said that it was NOT an act of Terrorism.
Just as I was about to finish up this post apparently the FBI has now stated it WAS AN ACT OF TERRORISM. Weird development.
