Newsome in an interview with NBC's Jacob Soboroff that the Reservoirs serving California "were completely filled!" when the LA fires broke out. Soboroff then pressed Newsom by saying the Santa Ynez Reservoir which served LA County was bone dry! Newsome then responded, " That's what exactly triggered my desire to investigation to understand what was happening to that local reservoir."

Newsom knew that of the 4 reservoirs serving Pacific Palisades the 117 million gallon Santa Ynez Reservoir was bone dry and had been for 11 months yet attempted in this Interview with Soboroff which was going to be televised nationwide to misrepresent (LIE) an important factor in the water supply running out, so the firemen were holding an empty hose in their hands.
