just saw it...a joke of a call...returner waved his hands to tell his teammates to stay away from the ball. It was not an inadvertent fair catch call...these refs make shit up to bail their asses out...

Wisc punt returner signals to his teammate to stay away by waving his arm clearly below his shoulder and then he picks up the ball and returns it for a TD. The refs called the whole thing back. The natives in Mad-town are very very restless. Hand pact snow projectiles will be a flyin'

Michigan had the same thing happen earlier this year because when the ball hits the ground Peppers points at it with both hands to signal to the blockers where the ball is so they can stay away. One time he picked the ball up when it took a big bounce to him and ran it 40+ yards and it got called back for illegal fair catch or some such BS.


It's like the refs take any hand movement by the PR and give him a fair catch even if it clearly isn't.
