Nice Interview with J. S. Of Young Guns

Awesome video. Great job Jody in helping so many of these kids fulfill their wrestling dreams and more importantly, I can’t think of one Young Guns kids that ever seemed like a “punk”. They all seem very respectful and great kids and then switch to monsters on the mat.

Hey YoungGunsWC. Question for you, and obviously you don’t have to answer. What kid in all your years progressed from one year to the next from solid wrestler to beast? And as a follow up. What do you think the difference was? Mindset? Physical makeup? Something else?

Saw a kid beat his opponent from young guns last year. The dad went nuts and charged the scorers table and caused the biggest seen. He was restrained by a few refs, it was embarrassing. He refused to shake the winners hand, and the losing kid refused to shake the other coaches hands. They were punks. Just an isolated incident, just made me think of it last year.

I did watch the video. Jody is an awesome coach and a great person. How awesome to help all those kids in so many ways.

Amazing all of the coaches I saw growing up who thought they had to be out of their minds, in kids faces all the time, etc. Seems like these cats take a level headed approach and figure out how to properly motivate. Proof is in the pudding.

Great wrestling club, with a center right here in Iowa as well, which is run by his former teammate, Eric Juergens. Doug Schwab, another teammate, does many clinics with them throughout the year.
