Too many times last year he passed up great opportunities to take the 5-10 free yards / first downs that would have made huge differences in several of our close losses. Hope see him run 4-5 times a game this year (including called runs and not just desperation runs).

To me yesterday that was by far the biggest improvement in his game vs. last fall.
 
I think thats also a sign the staff feels better about the backup QBs


right now. It sounds like he might not have been encouraged to run much last season.

Maybe but I think it was more a matter of no one being allowed to hit the qb. When you know you won't be touched running looks ok. I guess we will see in games this year. ;)
 
Hack looked quicker and faster this spring. BUT if I were a coach I would not encourage running up the field. He is far too valuable to miss time because of an injury!!
His mobility can be best used in the backfield avoiding pass rushers!
