Nick Lee back in action

Was wondering what happened to Nick Lee in the high school rankings. Assuming he was hurt, what was the nature of his injury?
When Nick Lee gave a verbal to PSU, it became pretty obvious that Red would go elsewhere. But, yeah, at one time (months prior to the Nick Lee verbal) many thought PSU was in good position to land Red.
I think Red told Cael he was headed elsewhere (wanted to be with Burroughs) and Cael adjusted his strategy...Reds clearly the better prospect but when you take into consideration of getting the "Lee brothers"...well, it balances out.
Will be interesting to see what direction each of them head in for the postseason. At the 2015 Indy States, Chad Red was the champ at 126 and Nick Lee was the champ at 132.
I've wondered that as well. Perhaps Nick has posted about it -- I really don't know.
BTW, where did he wrestle?
I've assumed an injury, but never heard anything. State duals. Found the results on track. BTW, Joe Lee has a loss this year.

I almost don't even want to respond to this whole Redd/Lee thing, but the changing dynamic was the Jared Cortez transfer and I'll leave it at that.
Redd was a wrestler I was really hoping PSU would snag...but as they say 1 or in this case 2 in the hand is better than 2 in the bush. The Cortez transfer allowed Cael to not have to rely on 2 true freshman starting at either 125,133 and 141--Suriano and ? redd? Cortez has a year in the room with Nico and Connoway to be prepared for the fire next season.....Redd I imagine was still not sure if he wanted PSU or Nebraska. Had to take Cortez for sure.....And the Lee Brothers were Icing on the Cake
Cortez was definitely the factor. Cael wanted room for Spencer, Suriano and Cortez and that doesn't happen with Red unless Spencer takes a RS or Greyshirt. I'll be interested if we ever find out how much the Lee bros are getting. Seem like solid prospects but Nick is not elite and we're not sure what Joe is going to be yet.
True enough, didn't really factor in the Cortez transfer. That being said, I damn sure hope we get Spencer. That would be big time!!! Any rumors out there on him? Probably not, he's pretty tight-lipped. I know the Hawks are confident he going there...
I don't think the guys on HR are confident about landing Lee, but they are extremely hopeful. In other words, pretty much the same as the PSU boards. Most seem to think its between PSU and Iowa, but I doubt anyone really knows anything solid about where Lee may be leaning. If they do, they're not talking.
True enough...Spencer will keep it close to his vest like Hall did until the end. On the other hand I hear Teasedale loves PSU...
I have been hearing PSU from close friends with his Dad....When healthy Spencer goes over to the NLWC and wrestles Nico and others a lot...I have seen him at club twice....
Bruce, for the longest time, the Hawk fans essentially acted like he had already given a verbal. All summer long he was inserted into their future lineup projections without any qualification. That being said, this kind of stuff has died down over the past few months. Very similar to what happened with Suriano and that board. Think that bodes real well for Penn State, especially with some of the things I am seeing just this morning.
Or, maybe because he's injured. Can't believe they wouldn't have 20 threads or so since Powerade if he had wrestled.
I'M BACK AFTER KEEPING QUIET FOR SOME TIME AND DROPPING FACTS...
1. CJ Red struggles academically, so imagine what it could be like in college
2. His flamboyant ways on and off the mat didn't win him fans from the coaches and members on the team

Hawk fans on HR are confident every single wrestler is going to Iowa. Every time a wrestler sneezes it's proof that he's going to Iowa according to them.
