Joe Lee advances to state finals with an 11-3 win.

Chad Red also advanced. The big news is his opponent in the 1st round got a reversal and the crowd went nuts. Chad still won 18-3.

Geesh... all these pins in sub-30 seconds.. are there any videos?... I know Indiana isn't known for their world-class wrestling, but who are they wrestling?.. how in the world...

Not sure how good Elliott Molloy is, but he was undefeated and just got teched by Nick.

Indiana is not PA or Ohio but our wrestling is not bad. I did a breakdown earlier this year of all the nationally ranked kids.

Elliott Molloy is ranked #3 in the state (behind Red and Lee). I figured that would be a much closer match. Chad Red won his semi-final match at semi-states 7-2. It's really looking like we will get to see Chad Red vs. Nick Lee next week in Indy!!!

Sorry IndyLion, I didn't mean to offend Indiana Wrestling... My point was I just cant fathom how anybody, No matter the state, can pin another wrestler in the first 20 seconds once much less making a habit of such a mauling..... . it took me longer to write this post..

Yes, looks like a Red vs Lee showdown.. THAT is made for TV wrestling..!

In 2014, Mike McMullan won a match in 18 seconds -- in the NCAA consolation semifinals, so it was against an All-American. Shouldn't happen at that level, but it does.

No offense taken! We have some special talent at several weights this year. Red and Lee are simply better than the rest of the wrestlers in Indiana, kinda like Spencer Lee is in Pa.

Here is a name for PSU to check out, Mason Parris. He is a 220 lbs. sophomore from Lawrenceburg, IN (52-0) and pinning state placers from last year in less than a minute. This kid is the real deal!

Indiana Semi-State
132 lbs. Nick Lee – R16 Fall 2:03 David Roth
QF Fall 0:20 Corban Pollitt
SF TF 19-1 3:12 Elliott Malloy
Finals Fall 3:50 Nathan Conley

145 lbs. Joe Lee - R16 Fall 0:44 Austin Heckman
QF MD 11-3 Shane Wilkerson
SF Fall 0:59 Matthew Cullen
Finals 8-1 Austin Bethel

Bethel surprised Joe and pinned him in the sectional finals, but Joe beat him in the Regionals and again here in the Semi-states. Nick and Joe return to the state finals next week - should be fun, especially the match between Nick and Chad Red.

The guy who beat Joe Lee earlier in the year got majored

The guy that majored Timberman today is Derrick Motley. Derrick is on my son's wrestling team. He is a great kid! I would like to see him wrestle Joe Lee at states next week.
