Nick Tarburton reminds me of Mark Herzlich: size, speed, instincts.

You may know of Mark Herzlich, plays LBer for the Giants. He was an excellent lacrosse player at Conestoga, in addition to being MLBer and FB on the football team. He went on to have a tremendous career at Boston College, where he was ACC defensive player of the year as a junior. He was diagnosed with Ewings sarcoma before his senior year. He returned to play for BC after sitting out a year to recover. He went undrafted, signing with the Giants as a FA. He has been with them for 5 years now.

He is 6'4" and over 240 now. He was roughly 215 lbs as a senior at Conestoga. Tarburton is bigger at the same age, but has a similar skill set in terms of speed and diagnosing running plays. I don't know if Tarburton will have the coverage skills Herzlich had at BC though. I'd love t see him have a career similar to Herzlich's, minus the bout with cancer. He looks like a heck of a pick up.

FWIW, Conestoga has sent 4 guys to BC, all of them multi year starters. Two of them, Herzlich and a guy named Steve Schindler ('76) played in the pros. Never have sent one to PSU though. Still waiting on that one!

That is an excellent comparison . I remember Herzlich when he played at BC.

Unless he loses too much speed and quickness with a 10-15 pound weight gain, I really like him at MLB.

Saw nothing in Tarburtons film
that indicated linebacker - he seems like he is destined to play on the d/line.
