How bad is it? Does the traffic thin out during the day, or is it really backed up all day long? I'm getting a late start driving on Saturday, so just wondering what you all have seen in regards to traffic this year.

How late? For a night game 95% of the fans have arrived by 4:30, 5:00.

I drive it all the time. 80 EB is totally fine pre and post game. I generally get there early as I tailgate w friends/ fambly so my arrival advice is prob not ideal for all

I do not take 80, but getting out of the parking lot after the OSU game was awful. I was in my car waiting in line to leave my lot (Orange) for over 1 hour. Fortunately, I was pretty happy about the game we just played and was listening to the post game for a good part of that hour.

I'm coming from Wilkes-Barre and won't be able to leave until 5:00. I am cutting it close, but just curious if I could make it to Bellefonte in under 2 hrs. Doesn't sound like construction is an issue.

In that case, try I-80 WB

Thanks. Didn't even notice the typo till now.
No worries. You know, in one physical model of the universe, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, in the opposite direction. (No, I will refrain from quoting the Zen philosopher, Basho;))

I went to the OSU game from the Wilkes-Barre area and don't recall a single section of lane restrictions heading west or east. As others have said, traffic after the game getting out of the lots is bad since everybody heads out instead of some hanging around for post game tailgating.
