Hey everyone, our dashboard is having issues so I'm just going to post this here... the Nittany Lions had a very productive weekend it sounds to me. Additionally, we're still working on reaching out to numerous prospects for full stories and interviews.
Grimsley is ranked as a wide receiver but Penn State likes him on the defensive side of the ball. From talking to sources it sounds like the Nittany Lions have set themselves up very well here going forward, and the Nittany Lions have a legitimate chance to win this battle. The primary competition here will be Alamabam and Florida State - right now the Nittany Lions feel pretty confident.
Penn State put itself in a good position early on for Wisconsin 2025 OL Owen Strebig. "It was great to able to meet everyone," Strebig told us in his first visit to Happy Valley. "Everyone was very welcoming," he added. Streibg also enjoyed what he saw out of the Nittany Lions on the practice field, the intensity of the practices from both the coaching staff and players. He also had the opportunity to sit down with both head coach James Franklin and offensive line coach Phil Trautwein, conversations that sound they went very productive. "It was awesome," he said. "Two great coaches and people."
Penn State closed the gap a bit between them and Michigan this weekend. The hiring of Deion Barnes as the defensive line coach could go a long way in this recruitment Robinson told Nittany Nation how much he likes that Barnes now has the job especially after he was one of the first coaches to believe in Robinson. The Wolverines are still the leader in his recruitment but the Nittany Lions are going to make things interesting here it appears as this recruitment heads into the summer.
Reynolds picked up an offer from the Nittany Lions over the weekend and is immediately a name to watch at the tight end position going forward. No tight end has really emerged in the cycle yet as a potential "favorite" to be in the class but the Massachusetts native could very well be that player. Legitimate 6-foot-4 size from my understanding with a reported forty-yard dash in the 4.6 range. I think the Nittany Lions could be the ultimate landing spot but I'm not sure he's a take just yet, wouldn't be surprised if they want to see him in a camp setting this summer and then go from there. But again, a name to very much watch going forward.
204 ATH Jason Mitchell out of Southern California enjoyed his visit and says he would love to make it back to campus in the future. The Nittany Lions are likely a longshot in the grand scheme of things in the recruitment but I wouldn't be shocked if we them in the discussion for an official visit down the road.
