@Tom McAndrew The lion color was special made a long time ago by Sherwin William’s and is called “Nittany Lion.” The vendor we uset o do the lion statues for the Elms Collection (Creative Castings) adds specks on top called “leather brown.” You can try to see if a Sherwin William's store can get you the paint. Hope this helps.

This is an interesting thread. I found the following from Creative Castings' website.

nittny+lion+001.JPG

This piece is made in two separate parts, both made out of the resin with pecan shell flour. The finish on the nittany lion is done with a base coat of paint with a speckled spray on top. The base was finished with a stain and polished.

Do you happen to know the color code for the official PSU blue? I might pick up some interior paint in that color.

Thanks Phillip. I just looked it up on the Sherwin Williams site. The paint is now called
"Stone Lion". You are a genius. Now I have a winter project.
Sherwin Williams was one of the first companies to drop PSU when the shit-storm started.

There is no paint color. The Lion shrine isn’t painted. The best I can offer is that it is made from Indiana Limestone.
Stick it underground for a million years and the shrine will be made of solid marble. That would be a pretty cool artifact to find on a future dig
