NLWC Apparel/Gear

I had contacted Mark McNight a couple years ago and was told they didn’t really have a way to take orders. Not sure if that’s changed, but I haven’t seen any place to buy, but would love to.

I emailed Dave Hart, he said they were trying. That was probably 2018 or early 2019 I would say. My thoughts are they could generate a decent amount of money doing this.

More recent info from Dave is that it is still being considered. McKnight is still in charge of what clothing they have for internal use, but system to market and sell to the public isn't in place, and frankly, not being worked on at present.

I'm an old toad, but I do know that millions of people/small businesses are selling through Shopify. For $30/month it is a cheap and robust solution. I think it is more of a case where the staff doesn't have someone that they can task with handling it. I suggest they offer a position to Moriah Marinelli. She is probably a good candidate.

Isn't that job reserved for Spencer's girlfriend?

One way to obtain NLWC apparel is by golfing in the NLWC Golf Classic. The Classic is scheduled for September 11th at Toftrees. I know last year the golfers received long sleeve pullover shirts with the NLWC logo and the two prior years it was polo shirts. The apparel is top quality.

It is a win win for you and the club. Also, as you can see from the press releases, the number of resident athletes has increased thus the fundraiser is a great cause.

* This has not been a paid endorsement but I do wear a 2XL if anyone cares.

To be clear, the Tournament is a go, though how it's run may be impacted by the pandemic, in order to ensure everyone's well-being. It's three months away, so any tweaking that needs to be done has not yet been decided. It surely is a great cause.

All it takes is a PayPal or Venmo account and a basic website that would take a few hours to set up. After that he would simply have to ship the products. Put them in a box and send them. It's really not all that difficult to set this up.

If he wants it done tell him I'd be willing to help.

We have a process that works great in another organization I'm familiar with. You make it sound much easier than it really is, but there is interest so the conversations will continue.

What an idiot. Feel bad for our guys to have to deal with being associated with him. I get the outrage completely, but it seems like many want to cancel the company for his transgression, which doesn’t seem fair after they canned him. If you want to see it, look up James Green’s twitter.

I don't know how well capitalized Scraplife is, but I find it hard to believe that the company survives this. If I were the remaining partners, I would fold up the tents and liquidate inventory ASAP. Then try to re-emerge with a new brand. I would try to offer someone like Jordan Burroughs ownership in the company to help them re-establish their corporate morality.

Under Armour has yet to respond. The poster athletes are now in a unique position and their responses can range from their statements to demanding an ownership stake to remain. Ashnault and Gross have already bailed.

I'm not sure of the exact relationship between Scraplife and Under Armour, whether there is common ownership interest or a marketing/manufacturing partnership (which I suspect). I would guess before the close of business tomorrow that relationship will be severed. The market isn't big enough for Under Armour to take a beating over.

For many, the relationship with Beshada is much deeper than just Scraplife. My understanding is that Beshada is David Taylor’s agent.
