I expected someone to post something about the event held yesterday. Since I haven't seen anything here is one.
It was overcast, but dry. The course was in nice shape. I got to visit with Casey, Dave Hart, Cody, Cael latter in the day, Bo, Jordan Conaway, to mention a few. I met Thomas Gilman and got to visit with him for a few minutes. If anybody is wondering the kid is pleasant and engaging.
Without the after golf get together it was a bit different, but it was great to spend the day playing golf with 3 great friends and to be able to talk wrestling with a group of fellow Lions. Including the new Lion who used to be a Hawkeye.

Did you play? If you did then you met/saw me on the 10th green. Only got to talk briefly to those playing. Bo with a great tee shot on the 10th and then he sunk the birdie putt himself.

A few items from the golf outing...
I had a chance to talk to Nick Lee and Kirk....both really nice guys. Kirk indicated he loves it at Penn State. He is built similar to Cassar. Nick mentioned they have not been allowed in the Rec Hall room since March, while all other B1G teams are in their respective rooms. Sad for our guys.
Anthony Cassar is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Very down to earth and humble. Said shoulder rehab is going well. Franklin Gomez excited about qualifying and is also very friendly.
unfortunately I missed meeting Thomas G., Zain R. and Kyle S. All three were riding around on the course but we never saw them.
I did see Cenzo before we teed off and heard him say he was playing, but didn’t have a chance to talk.
I’m glad to know I saw and talked to Nova on #10.
As always, Dave Hart was great to see and talk to. I had seen his brother at another scramble a few weeks ago.
Hoping there is a season, but cancelled our accommodations in St. Louis. Will shoot for next year as I doubt timeframe and fan allowance in St. Louis will be such that we can attend. Just my opinion.
Course is in great shape and survived a tough August. Assistant pro told me they had less than 2 inches of rain in the long stretch. It shows how important corporate money can be for a high level golf course!
All in all a nice day!
