Great, great wrestler, and even better person. How lucky were we.
I heard he is only an equally good person. He was almost going to be a better person, but he tried to go big, and his opponent caught him, in the good-person finals.
It’s amazing those are only a fraction of Bo’s highlights, and it’s enough to represent an entire D1 team’s highlights over multiple years. We are fortunate.
Bo took his last photo in Rec Hall with me. I graciously told him it was for my then girlfriend who is now my wife who adores him. He laughed when I told him who they were for and he graciously posed for a bunch of pictures that I seem now to treasure more than she does. He's a class act and a very humble human being. On top of being an incredible wrestler... Bo happens to be a WORLD CLASS human being.

One of my favorite Bo memories (and there were certainly many) goes back to his FR year at the Scuffle. He wrestled top-seeded Realbuto in the semis and Realbuto was a horse who loved to mix it up. The two of them went at it in gladiator-fashion throwing all caution to the wind. Bo really took it to Realbuto 14-7. It wasn't a pin (although it came close), but quite a performance as a FR against a senior stud. Bo wasn't intimidated the slightest bit. Bo was previewing many future highlights that day!
