No talk about PGA Pro Robert Allenby??

Dude fires his caddy, mid-round, at the Canadian Open (second round, IIRC). He makes the turn carrying his own bag. So a dude volunteers to carry the bag, and Allenby takes him up on it.

This is the same Robert Allenby who claims he was mugged in Hawaii, a couple of years ago, while at a tournament there.

That mugging was not a couple years ago, I believe it was less than a year ago. He seems like snake to me, of course he said his caddy was the instigator of this fight, but again, I don't believe him.

Guy has some serious talent. I have watched him play. Too bad the competition is very talented as well.

I was going through the channels and for some reason stopped at the Golf Channel for a few minutes. This story came on. They said Allenby has the worst reputation on the PGA as being a jerk. Was a player that always blamed the caddie for the wrong club selection or yardage or misread of greents, etc...Just when he was a top player, the caddies would put up with it because they made big money. But he still sent through many of them. Now that he is not playing well and not making money, the caddies are essentially not putting up with it and just leaving. They also brought up the mugging story and said it did not appear to be very factual and didn't say it but implied the guy has some serious mental issues.
