For the last several days I have been watching the angst filled posts and uncertain information drive many on this board nuts, and driving some to the ledge. But at the same time, the things meant primarily for the other kids (twitter, mostly) have consistantly been consistant (hah!) with what we thought we knew about Toney.
It occured to me: What if this whole toying with sPitt drama has been a scam on Narduzzi? What if it was a scouting mission to see first hand what kind of negative crap the sPitt staff would lay on a PSU commit to attempt to flip him? Sander's mom has cut them off. Hudson was just enjoying the weekend on their dime: clearly no interest in flipping. Perhaps there never was any interest in flipping on Toney's part either: just an intelligence gathering mission to not only check out the tactics but to verify the specific negative venom Narduzzi and his crew are using.
Probably not, but I am afraid I am one of the old guys who remember that nothing was beyond what a sPitter would do to hurt Penn State. I cannot get over the fact that they have continued to be obsessed with us and teach it to their young (as evidenced by the continued "F... Penn State" rants at their games that have nothing to do with us. Maybe, just maybe, Toney agreed to, or decided to, conduct a scouting mission.
Probably not. But wouldn't it make your day to have Toney not only reaffirm his committment at his school's event tomorrow, but rip Narduzzi a new one for attacking PSU rather than having anything to sell at sPitt? It would mine. At least I can think about it for a day. Just like I thought about winning the lottery the other week when it was announced that one of the tickets was bought at the store where I bought mine.
