Obama is mixed race with 1/2 being white - the part you never hear about. In fact he's probably more white than black even though he seems to be ashamed of his mother and her family. It just seems people in the press and general population like to feel good (I guess) by ignoring the simple facts.
I have no idea why he doesn't say more about his mother and grandparents that raised him. He wrote a book about his absentee father - why I have no idea.
