Just announced on WTAE Pittsburgh sports..... Pitt toughest OOC schedule with YSU, Penn State, Okie State & Rice.

WTF

In fairness, there probably aren't too many teams who will play two probable top-10 teams in their noncon slate. Pitt is one of them.

Who cares what some halfwit from ESPN says - this is the article that WTAE was referencing. Somehow FSU is ranked #3 on the list with the following games:
Sept. 2: vs. Alabama in Atlanta
Sept. 9: Louisiana-Monroe (4-8 in the Sunbelt)
Nov. 18: Delaware State (0-11 in the MEAC)
Nov. 25: at Florida - an annual rivalry game

And he also ranks USC at #5 with:
Sept. 2: Western Michigan
Sept. 16: Texas (5-7 last year)
Oct. 21: at Notre Dame (4-8 last year)
with the reasoning that Texas has a talented roster and ND will be sure to bounce back, plus "it's never a picnic playing in South Bend".

Playing Alabama and Florida away from home gets you in the top 5 regardless of the other two games. I don't see that USC schedule as top 5.

The reason that their out of conference schedule is so tough, is because they suck.

We need to kick their asses once and for all this September, and then cancel the rest of the deal and make them go away. We don't play Bowling Green, we don't play Fordham. Let's stop playing Pitt.

- You better play a tough out of conference schedule if you play in the ACC coastal and your yearly crossover game is Syracuse.

- Big 10 plays 9 conference games, so the same amount of power 5 games

- How many teams in the country would go undefeated in the ACC coastal yearly? 20? 25?

Cal's OOC games next season are North Carolina, Weber State and Ol' Miss. Weber State stinks on ice, of course, but the other two teams don't suck too badly. Naturally, I am predicting that Cal sweeps these games. LOL...

So they have us to thank for having the toughest non-conference schedule because we're so good.

You're welcome Pitt.

Isn't that the irony of it all? They owe it to us for their schedule being declared difficult.

The reason it's difficult, is that the whole world recognizes that we are a team a level above where Pitt is, which makes their schedule hard. If we were on Bama's schedule, nobody would notice.

Pitt gets dissed once again, and they are too stupid to realize it.

That's possibly 3 top 10 teams as YSU will probably be ranked in the top ten of the D1 championship subdivision (old D1-AA). Maybe that's how they arrived at the "toughest" schedule, LOL.
