Had to look it up.....

$825 in 1908 equates to about $25K today. However, the average cost of a new car in 2021 is almost $40K.

Army could be a pain in our ass in the early to mid 60's.

That is interesting. thank you.

Of course, the Model T was not the "average car" but a low-cost car that could be purchased by the great unwashed. The low-end car, according to Cargurus.com, is the Chevy Spark at ~ $15,000. They say the "average" new car price right now is in the $43,000 range. I imagine that the makers are pushing chips to the more expensive, higher-margin cars right now.

Love this. Have you a link?

Angie Dickinson was the first woman in my youth that made my pants go crazy. I remember clearly her staring in "Police Woman" (in hindsight a show that was way ahead of it's time). I was probably 9-10 years old.

90 years young today...

How true. Army kept the 1962 team from being unbeaten, defeating Penn State by a FG.

I think Army won again by a FG in in 1963.

Then came that amazing turnaround season on 1964 (the one where a 1-4 Lion squad absolutely demolished 2nd-ranked Ohio State 27-0 in Columbus ... then won 5 straight to close 6-4).

Penn State defeated Army that year by a score go 6-2, it's only win until that 5-game streak.

In 1966, PSU suffered though a devastating 11-0 shutout by the Cadets. Poor Joe had to face national powers Michigan State, UCLA, and Georgia Tech in addition to that nemesis Army squad in his first season. He improved considerably after that. 😉

Well, the Model T had fewer expensive computer chips than the current vehicles.

72 years ago, delcoLion’s parents were married in St Gabriel’s church in So Philly.
They are gone now, I didn’t deserve them.
Happy Anniversary Mother & Dad.
