I remember actually being ANGRY that Starocci hadn't committed anywhere; I thought he could be special. He's a great kid and i'm very happy for him. TBH (after B1Gs) i projected him to the finals with ease but thought he had little chance vs. Kemerer. His performance in the finals was fantastic.

That all being said, Kemerer is about as good a person as they come and i wouldn't have been sad to see him get his title. I've heard mixed things on if he'll be back next year.

Bottom line - two outstanding kids and talents. Add in my boy Mikey Labs and PA went 1-2-3 at the weight.

I agree, Kemerer is awesome. I cheer for him against anyone thats not wearing a PSU singlet.

Some inside info from Erie,,,he only had eyes for PSU for his entire career. It was his dream to win a title at PSU. Apparently some dreams do come true. From a kid that couldn't get a take down in the room to NCAA champ in 20 months. Pretty cool stuff.

Carter went from down 10-1 after the first period of his first varcity match and in a little over 2 months he a national champion , not a bad freshman year.
