December 27th the team and I survived
But sooooo long since then for August to arrive
I say it every year and swear it not to happen
But then by now, passion swells and I begin a clappin’
They’re back at last and on the field
And my reality it begins to yield
The team looks good, no GREAT they are
And expectations heighten
They’re bigger, stronger and faster for sure
The B1G they will most definitely frighten
8 wins, no 9 or 10, maybe 11 could it be
Yes, Oh Yes, this team has what it takes to be the MNC.
And now my lunch is finished
I’ve tossed wrappers in the trash
It’s time to begin planning
Barely 5 months to the championship bash
So now as I don Blue & White
For this year’s first trip to the Beaver
Please show some patience and understanding
For this ol’ Penn State Dream Weaver.
