Official Harbaugh overated-must go article thread

This didnt take long. Well, maybe it took three years too long? There are dozens of these articles penned in the past hour.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/wiscon...-michigan-exposes-jim-harbaugh-202230196.html
"Harbaugh’s most recent glaring negligence came with hiring the inexperienced Josh Gattis from Alabama in the offseason to both run the offense and overhaul the program’s pro-style DNA. The early results are a distinct failure, as Michigan managed just 14 points in regulation against Army and 14 against Wisconsin. By the time the Wolverines scored against Wisconsin, they trailed 35-0."

Probably over-reaction to a bad loss. You know the old saying " You're never as bad as you think you are when you lose or as good as you think you are when you win." Remember, a couple weeks ago when Maryland beat what was supposed to be a good Syracuse team by about 50 and then turned around and lost to Temple the next week.

The part about no interview or due diligence should be unacceptable to Michigan people. Of course there are posters on this board who thought he was a great hire

Fans are certainly capable of that, but did you watch the game? That was a bad loss. scUM looked completely unprepared on both sides of the ball. They have no identity. They aren’t tough and able to run the ball and they aren’t explosive. Their D was slapped around all day. It is one thing to give up yards to Taylor, but every RB Wiscy put in the game ripped off chunks of yardage. If this was PSU I would be seriously questioning Franklin. Harbaugh deserves every bit of criticism he is getting.

Watching a bit of his presser... He was honest, made no excuses, and looked completely drained. He had nothing....

Umm isn't LipHair 3-1 against PSU or something. Franklin just flat out sucks against him.
If Michigan got as pumped up for every game as they did in running up the score vs PSU in 2016 or playing for revenge and a big score in 2018 vs PSU, there wouldn't be such articles written about Harbaugh. They look flat and unprepared too often.

Harbaugh would be wise to try to recruit and develop quarterbacks instead of looking for the hottest free agent. Why would a high school QB want to play there when there'd be a good chance they'd be riding the pine behind a mercenary?

No, there's a trend here.

He’s always like that. Truly an odd duck. People blame CTE for the antics of guys like AB, so I wonder if Jimmah didn’t take too many shots to the coconut during his playing days.

Michigan has a tremendous amount of talent on their roster. They should have had an advantage in the passing game over Wisconsin’s secondary, but the pass protection was so bad in the first half that it didn’t matter.

That’s nonsense. The self appointed experts here told us that Franklin doomed the program when he didn’t anoint Gattis as OC. You know, the experts who’ve never coached a second of D1 football.

Would you rather have 3 wins over Michigan and no B10 titles? Or 1 win over Michigan and 1 B10 title in the last 4 seasons?
I'd be good with beating UM and losing every other game this season. My hand is still sore from pounding on the wall after the Allen Robinson catch. ;)

Ok. Maybe a bit of an overreaction. I hope Desmond Howard, Charles Woodson, and the B1G refs have to put up with Jimmy for 15 more years. :)
Yeah, wouldn't mind seeing Jimmy reach a level of success comparable to what John Cooper did at tOSU. Had enough talent to win 8 or 9 games per season but seldom won bowls or other important games. Plenty of seasons with 3 or 4 losses, yet lasted for 13 years.

Makes no sense. It's an OL mostly made up of seniors with 4-star or 5-star recruiting profiles. They were expected to be really good this year -- that was part of the reason for the high preseason predictions.

Michigan - the brand - gets a lot of nostalgia bump in the polls. Truth is, they’ve been largely irrelevant over the past half century (+)...and Jimmah is probably the best they can hope for in this day and age.

The disconnect from reality is that Michigan fans think Michigan is some elite power. They think that because they went 44-0 back in world war 1 that they're something more than a glorified Minnesota. They haven't won a BT championship in 15 years and won't win another as long as gen z'ers are alive.

And we’re coming off a bye week...

Anyone who thought Meat would be Wisky is delusional. Thank you.

Yes. The mere appearance of certain teams makes opposing side lines quake in their boots and wave the white flag. It's like the Yankees with those pin stripes. Michigan is one of them. Too bad parity has come to college football. Now you've got to earn it.

It's the same ole tired diatribe: "We art Meeshighun and therefore, we can do no wrong." Absolutely no credit given to the other team. And newsflash for Albom: Jonathan Taylor is an NFL-caliber running back. Take your head out the sand and ask around.
