PSU dominates. Big 1st half.Lead by 20. Let’s close this out, not let them get back into the game.
We always want to win but at this juncture there’s nothing to be gained other than Chambers making an argument that he should be given another year.
Maybe they’ll win the B1G tourney. We will all be fans and then we will be let down in short order. That’s how this trains rolls.
This was supposed to be the year they made some noise even without Carr and their start to the season was beyond fathomable. There’s something internal that needed straightening but sadly it’s too little too late barring nothing short of a Miracle.
Nice to see the players singing the alma mater after the game. our Alma Mater makes me laugh sometimes. If you listen to it without words, It sounds like it could be the national anthem for some place in Eastern Europe
My high school anthem was an excerpt from the WIlliam Tell Overture that was also the national anthem of Russia.
Coaching looks pretty good when the players execute. Funny how that works.
The team has improved. It's playing looser and with more confidence. Bolton and Dread are in the flow of the game a lot more and Bolton isn't throwing up as many bad shots as he was. Stevens is playing at a high level. Chambers deserves praise for keeping these kids together and working hard. Nobody wants to draw this team in the B1G Tourney!
Nice win for the BB team. You almost reached the century mark. A win against MD next week could be a very good sign.
Best they played all year. 56% on FGs, 50% on threes 14-16 at the foul line and no 5-6 minute droughts. And only 7 turnovers.
I really enjoyed last night. Did you hear the announcers talking about the program, AD Sandy, etc.? Some good stuff. They had lost the majority of their games by less than 10 pts and they noted some were due to some interesting happenings at the end where it could have gone the other way. Few lucky bounces and this team is .500 in a really difficult (#2) conference. They also talked about no way has Chambers lost the team and in fact they believe the team has ramped it up the last month to show leadership and fans that they believe and they want him around.
When was the last time you heard announcers trash a coach and team, particularly one that is convincingly winning the game they are announcing?
I did not get to watch the game last night but glad to see the guys put it all together. They are improving , but lets be honest, this was Nebraska, who is now 5-11 in conference and played a soft OOC. Much like the dumpster fire at Indiana, these guys were way overrated early on and are 2-8 in their last 10.
Team is definitely improving and can compete with anyone. Same thing happened at the end of last year.. and previous years the team didn't quit and would improve throughout the year. Problem is the team takes to long every year to get to this point. Other teams are improving. Why does it take us so long to catch up? As an aside, I love Jamari Wheeler. I know he can't shoot but he does everything on the court you can ask of a basketball player otherwise. Hope he can develop some semblance of a shot as him, Bolton and Dredd can be a deadly 3some the next couple years.
Last year and this year were massive disappointments, but, if Pat is not losing the teams it is frankly an improvement over the previous two coaches.

Add in Jones and Brockington, and we’ve got a lot of options (and I think a year from now, if Jones is still in a PSU jersey, we’ll be talking about his improvement).
I’m not as optimistic about Kasatkin (and don’t understand the logic in playing him <10 minutes this year unless they’re just saving his redshirt year for the inevitable transfer).
Nebraska is still a top-40ish team. The B1G is loaded this year and in the zero sum game, someone has to lose every night.
Ehh, I know they went from 38 to 46 in the net after last night and PSU went from 70 to 63 but UN will probably lose all four remaining games and drop in to the 50's. Though I was referring more to their recent performance which is trending down. They played a ton of cupcakes and front loaded an easier conference schedule getting them higher than they deserved. Much like PSU is playing an easier end of year and thus looking better. Indiana had a couple huge wins or else they may be below PSU in the Net
