Ohio Greater Catholic League battle PSU v IU

this weeks game will be a battle of former high school opponents. Peyton Ramsey of Cincinnati Elder HS v Sean Clifford of St Xavier HS of Cincinnati. These two Greater Catholic League schools are about 10 miles apart. Ramsey’s dad is the head coach at Elder. The two schools played for the 100th time last month.

Let’s hope the former Bomber beats the former Panther. Go Sean. Go State.

That is a great rivalry that people in Ohio are very familiar with.

Tanner Morgan - Minnesota's QB - was also from the greater Cincinnati area. Went to Ryle High School in the Northern Kentucky suburbs.

Ryle and St. Xavier never met when Morgan and Clifford were there, but Ryle does occasionally play the big Cincinnati Catholic schools.

Very good HS football in the Cincinnati area.

Ohio still has very good HS football. However, it is slowly heading downhill. Fewer kids and still fewer choosing to play football. Some school districts have dropped the freshman team and just put 9th graders on the JV team.
