Completely agree. 82 Nebraska was louder at the end, more emotional and abruptly explosive as we all were on the edge of our seats, actually standing on the bench in front of our seats, awaiting the last offensive play to explode or deflate. A bit like the 17 Iowa game last drive but more important, more vital since were were slighted, ignored and given little respect at that point. We had a collective chip on our shoulders and desperately wanted the validation of an MNC. The Nebraska game was a validator along the way, a major validator of the team's power and potential for an MNC. The long celebration post game, the goal posts, so many memories.
OSU 05, the loudest continual level of sound I've ever witnessed. Hard to believe a crowd could generate that level of sound for that long a period of time, continuously.
OSU 16 was an explosion of pure joy. It was the big step out of the depression that had hung like a pall over our program and fans since the end of 2011. My wife works with a big Buckeye fan who said she actually enjoyed the joy she witnessed post game in Beaver Stadium (and this woman is no a nice person) so it was evident. Joy, relief, happiness, exultation, and exuberance all boiled over that night
All GREAT moments in PSU football history and I'm thrilled I was able to personally witness two of them in Beaver Stadium with my family. Fantastic memories.
I'll never forget the feelings, sounds, expressions, and unity of the folks in WCU the evening of the 82 Nebraska game. I have never seen anything like that and probably never will. I hope everyone her has an opportunity to do so themselves some day.
