I believe the technical term is a "long term injury". That's too bad for the kid.

I think FSU was essentially dropped after a win because of an injury.

They were ranked 4th, WON the next game and did not get invited to playoff. 13-0 record at the time

I'm sure the backup is great and they won't miss a beat. Probably a high 4 star redshirt freshman who will play like an NFL All Pro.
