I realize a lot still rest on how the Bucks do at BIGs, but how much did some of tonight’s losses impact seeds? TIA. Gotta figure the Pletcher loss,BoJo, and Micah get impacted somewhat

Looking at rankings / seeds.

2 Pletcher lost to 5 Micic

5 M Jordan lost to 7 Pantaleo

3 BoJo lost to 6 Amine

1 Superman lost to 2 Coon

There’s basically no difference in 1/2 seeds at heavyweight, because no one is touching either Coon or Snyder.

But there will be some shifting in the other three classes.

It just shows that OSU has a great lineup top to bottom, but very realistically could end up with no champions. They have 5 or so guys who are on that 2nd tier behind a real stud. They have 3 or so who are top 2, but are at best 50/50 to win it all. OSU will have to thread the needle to beat us come NCAAs. They could do it, but it will be tough.

amazing what a week can do.....

last saturday afternoon twitter banter had tO$U as potentially the greatest team/dual team ever.....and....now

they have 2 conference loses and questions abound with their lineup

Yea, this is factually incorrect.

Pletcher probably just put himself in Gross' half of the bracket. Will likely cement that at B10s, not seeing him beating Micic there either.

MIckey ... too early to tell. Ask again after he faces Hidlay next week.

BoJo ... he and Amine will now likely face at B10 semis. If BoJo wins B10s, the highest seed he can get is 3rd behind Zahid and Lewis (not sure this loss will impact that at all if he beats Mark at B10s). If he's B10 runner-up, then he's probably looking at the 4 or at worst 5 seed behind Kutler. Hard to see him drop below 6 even if he loses to Amine at B10s ... though I would totally not mind seeing him get Zahid in the quarters.

Snyder: no impact. Coon and Snyder will get the top 2 seeds at nationals in whichever order and meet again in the NCAA finals, barring injury.

No way BoJo gets a 3rd seed after tonight. Just won't have enough quality wins.

You're probably right but I just don't have that confidence in the seeding committee. They sometimes overvalue winning the conference tourney, esp. B10s.
Fans will never be happy with seeds at NCAA's, just speaking generally after reading/hearing comments for decades. Granted there's a few crazy, unexplainable seeds, but they do a fair job with a tough task.

One example, which does not a trend make, of the value placed on the Conference Tournament, is the 2011 B1G's and NCAA's. Q was seeded 8th at B1G's, with Rutt, Steinhaus, Gambrall, Hinton, Dallago, Kissell, and Magram (in order 1-7) seeded ahead of him. On the way to the conference title, he beat Rutt, Steinhaus and Dallago.

To show the "body-of-work", AND the conference tourney emphasis, Q had a mixture of both. He passed 5 of the 7 guys seeded higher at B1G's, but ended up lower than Rutt and Steinhaus, who had much better bodies-of-work. I thought his #9 seed at NCAA's was fair. He was behind Honeycutt, Hamlin, Bosak, Rutt, LeBlanc, Loder, Perry, and Steinhaus (in order, 1-8) that year...and won it all. Losses during the regular season to Hamlin, Scheidel, Gambrall, Dallago, Steinhaus, and Rutt, sealed his fate for a higher seed at NCAA's, yet he passed others by winning B1G's.

So the moral of the story is......duals do matter! Go figure!

Michigan and Nebraska are behind Ohio State with two conference losses. Iowa has three.... :)

this might help out if Tom was looking for advice on how to right this ship

That's hilarious. I knew a guy once, in his early 20s, who was a bit insecure. Not very mentally resilient. He started doing intense weightlifting regimens and got very muscular and strong.

Problem is that he then became a d*****bag :D

Don't forget NC State fOSU next week. Additional carnage methinks may not effect B10, but will at NCAA's.

If I’m thinking correctly, Ohio State went into the Penn State match with four undefeated wrestlers and now has none. Ouch.
