I have been thinking for a guy who claims to not be a Hawk but but rather a wrestling fan with numerous contacts and friendships throughout all of wrestling he sure seems to have a strong need to police this board and OkieSt's board for Hawkeye slights.

In the history of NCAA wrestling, we've had 1 one-legged wrestler, and people want to tailor the rules to accommodate the possibility there will be another someday. If it happens, make an exception ... LOL.
Officials see what we see and like the Delgado-Heil rules, they want to eliminate stalling techniques. Sometimes it takes just one wrestler abusing a certain technique to bring changes.

Angelo’s kneeling is hard to watch, even harder to attack, and not a penalty. The only guys (Carter and Keck) who could force him to retreat/stall are gone in less than a month. We talk here often of potential 3-or-4 timers. Hawks can do that now without anyone gagging. The kid’s bag will quietly grow each year to keep the family satisfied, and he’ll likely always be highest paid, regardless of gossip. Their fatcat ain’t letting their granite praying mantis go.
Warbucks will lure others, too. NIL makes Olympic/World success and even an NCAA natty far less probable than over-inflated, lucrative paydays most college wrestlers will never see again. The fatcat’s obsession is so strong, he’ll gladly establish a Yankee/Dodger payroll to keep Cael from surpassing Gable. Angelo + Bo + mercenaries is the firewall.
I’m still betting Cael busts through it.
