cops sweep a parking lot after a club closes and see a man leaning into a car in the parking lot. Cop walks up to the guy, shines a flashlight directly into his face and the guy runs away. As he runs away, another cop can be heard to say "police, don't run". After a couple of blocks, guy trips and falls and two cops arrest him. The other two cops stay in the parking lot, one lost his red flashlight. Guys asks why he is being arrested and the cop says that they saw him drop a bag in the car and he probably dropped a bag while he was running.
  • nobody stops the car, has a description or a plate. Car is gone, no witnesses other than the cops.
  • cops search for red flashlight for 20 minutes and can't find it.
  • cop finds a bag of pills along the route where the guy ran away in some weeds along a fence
  • guy claims he did not know they were cops until he fell and was arrested. Light in his face blinded him and he never heard a cop say anything to ID them.
  • Guy is a two-time loser, this would be his third strike
  • Cops field test the drug and it comes back positive to be illegal drug A. After getting it back to the lab, it turns out to be illegal drug B.
Here is the kicker....after hours of bodycam footage showing everything, their is no bodycam of the cop discovering the bag of drugs. There is only a still photo of the bag in the weeds. Then, on body cam, he comes back to the group of cops and holds up the bag for all to see. He makes a gesture to his mouth and not a single cop says a word (like, hey you found it! Good job! Where was that? Have you tested it?...nothing). Also, the cop now has gloves on showing he prepped to grab the bag but, again, for some reason, no body cam footage.

how would you vote?
