If a wrestler takes an ORS are there rules in place with the NCAA that make this irrevocable? Likewise can you declare later in the year if you don't compete with the team or draw scholy money?
The primary benefits of an ORS include; it preserves a year of eligibility, and the team frees up some of the 9.9 for the year - correct?
Sorry for my ignorance, so be kind - Could a kid start the year under an ORS train full time freestyle off the books all the way through the December Senior Nationals US Olympic Trial Qualifier; then if he wins continue on under ORS, but if he loses, return to folkstyle and the rest of the NCAA season? Or is this a mute point in that ORS qualification criteria is the same that gains them Auto-qualifier entrance into the April qualifiers?
Conversely could a wrestler choose to convert to an ORS if they ever the December qualifier and win, assuming they don't compete or take scholy money prior to December? Maybe someone like Spencer could choose to go this route?
