Guessing your roommate did ZERO planning before hand and just showed up and paid the maximum to get close to the stadium.

Reality is they probably paid that much to park in some student’s driveway since to the best of my knowledge (from visits) neither the city nor university charge that much there on gameday.

Probably was a scalper that stood there after real attendant left. It used to happen on campus here as well back in the day, where scalpers would wait and then ‘staff’ entrance pocketing $.
