Tomlin should be fired tho, so he couldn't have led a team with a huge amount of injuries to the playoffs..
@Cincinnati or @Houston?
There is absolutely no chance the steelers fire Tomlin...like ever. And I'm being serious.
He is regarded as one of the top 5 coaches in the NFL...again I'm being serious
Kansas City can't host They are a 5 seed wildcard. Denver would hostI think If Denver wins, Steelers play Cincinnati. If Denver loses, Steelers play at Kansas City.

My error I stand correctedIf Denver loses and KC wins, KC is the three seed and would host the Steelers.
I've seen 3 different Top 10 NFL coaching articles over the past year. He made the top 10 in all 3, but was never rated higher than 6th (CBS sports). I do agree the Steelers won't fire him which I find unfortunate. Regardless of any rankings, I think he underperforms.There is absolutely no chance the steelers fire Tomlin...like ever. Back in the late 70's or early 80's Billy "White Shoes" Johnson and the Houston Oilers, who had nothing to play for, beat someone (can't remember who) that put the Steelers in the payoffs. In appreciation, the Steelers sent every Oiler a high-end personalized leather brief case. This team should do like-wise.

Here is an article from today's PPG regarding that day. I love the part about the pay phone and listening to the game from the hotel room.Back in the late 70's or early 80's Billy "White Shoes" Johnson and the Houston Oilers, who had nothing to play for, beat someone (can't remember who) that put the Steelers in the payoffs. I selfishly hope it's Sunday. I am hosting a 12th night party on Saturday night (I know 12th night is the 6th) and I will be unhappy if I have to turn it into a Steeler party.Do you guys think Pitt vs. Cincy will be the Saturday or Sunday game? I know it won't be official until after tonight's game, just curious. I'd think the NFL would rather Pittsburgh be a Saturday prime time game though, thoughts?

How many other of the top 5 coaches would go for 2 up 11 in the 4th quarter? Doesn't matter that they made it, was still an idiotic call that made absolutely no sense.
What was the risk if it failed? Honest question

That being said. I think Belicheck and Carroll are the best coaches in the league. You can make an argument for tomlin at three...in nine years he has 92 wins, Two SB appearnces, one SB win, four division titles, six seasons with at least 10 wins, only missed the playoffs three times. Worst season was 8-8 (twice)..all that while arguably coaching in the toughest division for most of those nine years

Another fail. Check your math.It was the right call, means Cleveland would need 2 TD and not a TD and FG.. They could still be playing today and Cleveland would still not find the end zone.
Another fail. Check your math.
If Denver would have lost, Kansas City would have won the division. Denver won so it is a moot point.Kansas City can't host They are a 5 seed wildcard. Denver would host
Check your math. You were wrong.I love message board coaches who always second guess successful pro coaches.
Dumblin runs out of fingers at ten. It was too cold to take off his shoes. He had no chance of getting the math right. Twelve would have iced the game for sure, as Cleveland would have needed a Ben pick-6 AND and act of God to score two TDs. Fortunately for Dumblin, Ben almost always gets the two. Once Ben retires (or loses his arm strength), this coach will be exposed - and things will get ugly. (though if you like defense at all, things are already ugly, because he plays #41 every week no matter how horribly he plays)Check your math. You were wrong.
