OT: A 3rd aircraft/object just shut down in Canada by US-Canadian Forces

Being reported now that this is actually the 4th balloon incursion over the last week or so. So, I guess we missed reporting on one of these events. Sounds like maybe one of the balloons is still in our airspace. It's not entirely clear right now.

Are we certain that this isn't about understanding from where and with what we respond to air space incursions? Collection of SIGINT and other intelligence may be a secondary mission of these balloons. They want to know from where, with what, how much, and how quickly we are responding to threats in our airspace.

WTH is going on? Montana airspace was closed down. Anyone have a beat on the big picture here?
Likely Kabuki theater. —Brandon got “caught” with his pants down with re: to massive ( very slow) Chinese spy balloon incursion. It was over our air space 4-5 days before it was exposed in/by the press, and anything was “done” about it. First of all, the Space Force/NRO/NSA know precisely where virtually anything bigger than a golf ball is at all times. This thing is bigger than a football field. Ergo, the balloon was “allowed” to enter air space ( my guess is by the administration, but I can’t prove that), before spotted by civilians and subsequently, the media. The administration looked bad (perception is reality in politics), so it has since very publicly engaged and “shot down” several other balloons to quell fear that they are not “alert, and at the ready”. — Montana, itself, has many old ICBM’s , nuclear weapons, and communication posts. Colorado, it’s next door neighbor, is polluted with Space force bases like Peterson, Cheyenne mountain, Buckley , etc. —Attempts at spying happen every day, are expected. There are regular daily briefings and periodic ( multiple times/day) Sit/Reps at each base, with subsequent communication to DC ( to whoever is actually in charge).
—There is a general daily underlying narrative to push us into a war. This feeds that narrative.…. Produces fear/anxiety. —It also distracts from the Seymour Hersh article re: the sabotage of the Russian underwater pipeline, and the ever growing exposure and validation of the “Hunter laptop” (“ten percent for the big guy”) crime fiasco. Scratching my head over the two latest shoot-downs as reports indicating the objects are not similar to the 200’ high balloon plinked over the Atlantic last week… I’ll speculate that balloons are being launched from subs and the latest ones are carrying / releasing some type of high altitude UAV as opposed to a fixed SIGINT payload seen last week

One is reported to be octagon in shape. Sounds like a large quadcopter or an octocopter with eight prop blades. Fuel and range would be issues unless they developed some solar system.

NORAD turned up the sensitivity on their tracking tools. Lots of stuff, literally, flew under the radar for years. After being embarrassed that an amateur found the first Chinese balloon, they opened up the controls and are now finding all kinds of stuff.

The incident over Alaska is puzzling. It was cylinder shaped and had unknown propulsion system. It was apparently moving a pretty good pace. Some pilots say it was jamming sensor systems. I’d recommend the USAF stock up on air to air missiles. Looks like we’re gonna need them.

And one over Montana disappeared somehow and then was shot down over Lake Huron.
