If you're letting the trading of a no talent goon be the straw that breaks the camals back then see ya. Scott has NO business in the all star game, and he has no place in the league anymore. You think the coyotes were happy about this? It was an embarrassment for them and he refused to back down.

TL;DR internet trolls on twitter and Reddit mass voted a goon into the all star game and people are crying that a mistake was taken care of.

what is a "no talent good"?? or a "camal"? you friggin graduated from PSU???

the process is the process. everyone here is (rightfully) up in arms when ESPN games a fan vote to discredit the voting of Penn Staters.

no decent person would defend Bettman for this underhanded way of dealing with the "fan" vote, especially knowing Scott's wife is pregnant and now has to relocate halfway across the continent.

all for a stupid game.

I am not a big NHL fan, although I do follow the Penguins at a distance, but this is pathetic. I know it is unlikely that fans will boycott the game, but it would be nice if at some point, perhaps after the national anthems were played, they started chanting "Where is Scott?" for a couple of minutes.

Yup, you've never made a typing mistake in your life or been autocorrected by a phone. Idiot. That's the worst thing you can ever point out on the internet. Ever.

And the league has the right to change that process whenever they want. Are you one of the 12 coyotes fans? Sad that team still exists.

This was an embarrassment for the team and the league and any sane person should be glad it is fixed.

fortunately, you don't qualify as a sane person

The NHL set up the fan vote. They had to know there was a chance an unworthy player would be selected. When it happened they crapped on the fans and process. It's a meaningless game. They should have let the selection stand.

What a crappy article. No proof whatsoever. It's a game of connect the dots...the NHL didn't want him in the All Star Game, he wouldn't turn it down, trade happened on Friday afternoon, he was sent to NHL...this is the proof that the NHL somehow pulled string and forced a team to trade him (and the other team to give up players and then send him to the AHL). I guess that qualifies as journalism these days (that is if you consider a website like "SBNation" to be "Journalism").

Seems to me that his family will be relatively well off after this all shakes out (of the NHL's deep pockets. )

Scott should have respectfully declined as he knows he has no business being an all-star and became in on the joke. Put the Coyotes in a tough spot, where they apparently insisted he be part of the trade. Why would Coyotes want him to be their representative? NHL is to blame for their rule where each team has to have a player (which sorts of makes sense) and opened up voting to allow this as a possibility. Combination of factors makes everyone look bad--fan voters, Scott, Coyotes and NHL. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/n...n-trade-with-canadiens--report-072541511.html
