As a general rule I'm very leery of social science research, but this does seem to line up with what you'd consider to be common sense.

I read that today....interesting. My wife and I are taking an different approach. Our daughter "earns" online time. Instead of giving her a phone, like an entitlement, each day time is earned once homework and family chores are completed. However, she doesn't take anything to school.
