Best selling author Brad Thor was FBN with Lou Dobbs Saturday night discussing the Paris terror attacks. He stated that Islam needs a reformation like the Christian religion went through centuries ago. He pointed out that we in the west cannot do this, it must be done by people within the Muslim religion. They must take control and purge the radicals from their Mosques and religion.
What we can do, he said, is put pressure on the Muslim world by telling them that until they cleanse their religion, we will stop all travel to our countries. The US and Europe should tell Muslim countries that for the next 18-24 months, no one from their countries will be able to travel here whether for pleasure or business. This would put serious economic pressure on their governments and religious leaders to crack done on violent extremists.
I am sure that people will scream about personal rights. But this will be done as a national security issue, doing what we have to do to keep our people safe. Its time for moderates to do more than say they are sorry or they are against violence. Its past time to stand up and put a stop to it.
