Had one in downtown Huntington 2 nights ago. People wouldn't stay away. Tranquilizer dart was 45 min away. So they ended up shooting and killing the bear. Sad

Just stay away. The shooter is an idiot. Mi is loaded w black bears, primarily a vegetarian, will eat road kill, etc. Leave the young ones alone, don't box the critter in and he will leave, prob after he emptied your bird feeder.

I actually saw a small black bear on the roof of a house along route 20 in town of North East, PA east of Erie about two weeks ago. Since it was in such a residential area - crowd of folks began to grow and game commission ended up tranquilizing and moving to nearby State game lands. Bear was determined to be a yearling and looked to be quite healthy.
