Very interesting issue. As this technology advances this will be a question often debated. For this species methinks it is just fine, probably a good thing. Maybe many others like the white rhino or the passenger pigeon. But there may be some down the road that we would really have to question.

No, species go extinct for a reason and weren't meant to be around.
Have these people never seen Jurassic Park?

Yes! In fact, HELL yes! After that, bring back velociraptors and turn a few loose in the Everglades. #FLORIDUH

Did you bother to read the article? The spices was wiped out my European hunters. If possible we should bring back all spices wiped out by humans over the past 200/300 years.

Why bring it back just so it can live in a zoo? There is a very low probability that they'll be able to reintroduce it into the wild as the world has changed too much since the time it went extinct.

Why not??? Mankind killed them, mankind should do whatever they can to get them back
If they plan on reintroducing them to the wild, how do they “teach” these animals the basic life skills they’d otherwise learn from their tiger parents and siblings? Animals like this learn how to hunt from their parents and “play hunt” with their siblings. How do you recreate that?
