I know that some of you are much more experienced than I am in the business world and I was looking for some advice. My family's business has been sluggish since the home building recession and we have decided that we need to make a move. I have been speaking with a company (we have some business dealings with them) who has interest in the business, but they seem to be slow playing me. I really need to move on this and if they aren't serious I have to move on and get a broker involved to look for a potential buyer. What is the best way to let them know that without revealing how desperate we are to sell? I also don't want to push them away.
