OT: Caesars Las Vegas has USA favored to win the Ryder Cup. I don't get it.

Sure the Americans have a higher average ranking compared to the Europeans, but when has that mattered? Europe now dominates the Ryder Cup regardless of world rankings and I expect them to win this year also. Seems the same trend has emerged with the Solheim Cup also.

It goes beyond World Ranking…the US has better golfers, that are in much better form right now. They should be solid favorites.

The prime mover of the odds is to drive favorable bets for the book, not to predict the outcome of the event.

IMO it would be so hard to handicap this event. Looking at the world rankings and the current form would obviously give USA the advantage but that is usually the case and it doesn't play out like that. America might be too self-centered, to cocky, and just individual enough that it hurts them. The Euro's are actually really fun to watch and when America matches their passion and comradery we usually win.
