I did not listen to mom and throw my baseball/football cards away. Some are in very good condition- others not so much. I am interested in finding out more about what they are worth. Even have some old PSU football cards.

My perception is that whenever vintage cards go to auction, PSA rather than Beckett has been the grading company.

I have used Beckett for some cards as I find their packaging and labeling more appealing.

I am interested in hearing opinions, experience and preferences on this subject. Some questions of interest. Do the companies use the same criteria so that the same card would get the same grade? Does the grading company affect market price? Is there an advantage or disadvantage using one company over the other? What about mixing companies for a collection?

Any and all thoughts would be appreciated.
