I'm a huge Jimmy Buffett fan and actually dislike his version of Brown Eyed Girl.
I loathe his version of Southern Cross, but that's another story.

Not sure who did the original Dolly or Whitney, but prefer the Dolly version of I will Always Love You. Saw an interview with Dolly where she said the song was a tribute to Porter Wagoner as she was leaving his show.

Dolly wrote and sang the original, long before Whitney.
