How about another Russ Ballard Song:
Since You Been Gone - Remake by Head East
Counting Crows - Friend of the Devil
I don't like to say it was better than Simon & Garfunkle's version but it was different and awesome. Both versions are awesome.
fixedI just had a debate with a buddy this past week about who did this song better. I say Joe. He says the Beatles. And not to be "that guy" but it's ...a little help FROM my friends
Holy F that’s fantastic I saw JJ at the VILLE in ‘82?
Both tremendousSo wrong.
Actually, the entire Shatner “Has Been” is a solid album.
I realize that. My point is that the Social Distortion cover is better than the Johnny Cash cover which is better than the original.
I'm partial to Black Magic Marker, our bar tour theme song covering Santana's cover. Unfortunately it was only a cappella and sung offkey by a bunch of drunks.you are on meth ?
answers: Green Manalishi ( Judas Priest covering Fleetwood Mac ); and Black Magic Woman ( Santana covering Fleetwood Mac) ....
That was amazing. Ann Wilson has a great voice.Speaking of Stairway to Heaven, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart did a great job on it to honor Led Zeppelin
I get it, the opening lines sound very similar, but that chord progression was not written by Taurus either. The descending root note through a minor chord appears in many jazz songs and likely originated from a classical composition. Not to mention that Zep resolves it differently and also takes Stairway in 4 other directions. Entirely possible thatThis is by far the best, most popular, and most successful cover song ever.

Love him very muchLucky you I bet it was fantastic. Joe Jackson, IMO, does not nearly get the credit he deserves.
Look Sharp and Night and Day are exceptional albums with some wildly different styles of music. Throw in Body and Soul and you've got about 4 different music genres.
Wow. That sent chills up my spine. Just watched the video 3 times in a row.

Geez, I apologize for posting it. Hate to upset you.how in god’s name is this better than the original?
Here is a cover that changed my whole feel of a song. The original (Grass Roots) just felt bubble gum poppy. This cover by the Replacements gives it the desperation and passion the lyrics deserve.
Another good one. Here is a solo Westerberg cover that completely changed the way I hear the song. His version sounds so desperate.I was going to say the Replacements cover of “Black Diamond” by Kiss
I was going to post that one as well. One of my favorites.
So instead I'll go a very different route...I like this one too...
Wrong on both accounts. Peter Green’s versions are better. And I am a big Judas Priest and Santana fan.you are on meth ?

Actually, co-written by Dylan and Secor (OCMS). Dylan recorded a chorus and never finished it. Secor did the verses years later.Almost forgot about Wagon Wheel, take your pick...Bob Dylan with the original, then covers by Old Crow Medicine Show, Mumford and Sons, Darius Rucker, etc.
