As I said, musical tastes vary. I find the Fugee’s version embarrassingly bad but it certainly worked for them and many would disagree with me. It’s basically a vocal song so I don’t get why it would be remade with an inferior voice but alas, there is a reason I’m not in the music industry.The original has REALLY dated, awful instrumentals ... it’s like a musical version of those awful greenish/yellow appliances with really busy wallpaper. The Fugees’ version is superior, though I like Flack’s vocal.
