OT El Chapo found guilty on all counts

His hot wife must be thrilled. Doesn't have to sleep with that pig anymore but still be rich and famous. Though the next guy she sleeps with is a chalk line.

The U.S. government was able to seize $14 billion of El Chapo money due to the conviction.

Anyone want to make a guess as to where that money is going to be used?

So now he’s going to be imprisoned in Colorado. Is Mexico going to pay the 39K annually to keep him in a U.S. prison. Does anyone know why he’s not in a Mexican prison?

He doesn’t have the greatest track record in Mexican jails, but I get your point.

Couldn't get over the wall back to Mexico?

Authorities figure that: Notorious drug dealer + Colorado = Sending an ironic message.

Rocky Mountain High just took on a decidedly Chicano flair.

Well the good news is taking one man down obviously crippled the drug cartels and ended the war on drugs. I think his kids are now running the show for him and I'm sure others were more than willing to step up if they weren't there.

Family businesses are a dying sector of the economy. I am glad that at least one family is doing all it can to keep this segment of the economy moving forward.

It doesn't work that way. It goes into the Treasury, and probably becomes part of the debt service on the $22 trillion of debt we have. The only way it can be "used" is if Congress passes an appropriation act with an accompanying authorization act, and that eliminates any chance of it being used for any targeted expenditure.

Which way did I say it worked?

logically this would be allocated to the southern border physical security - unless you believe in the myth that the drones are going to keep people out.

There is no single solution, but drones also can track people and give their location. Securing the border includes multiple measures as there is no one trick pony there. It would be nice if some of that seized money did trickle back down there...either way.

Flags all over the field for this post. 15-yard personal foul on @NittanyOpp for violation of board rules.

They should string him up on an overpass like a lot of his Cartel’s victims. Total scum.

I kind of wish our military could do a Mad Minute or so on their hideouts, tunnels and mansions. Feel sorry for the regular Mexican folk who have to deal with them and the corrupt police.

I blame the users for the demand, which is insatiable - get rid of them and the problem goes away. Shoot a few suppliers and new ones will quickly get into the business as long as there is money in it.

Plenty of blame to go around
