Buz Aldrin is still pokin' around, Apollo 12's Alan Bean is alive... i know Apollo 15 (my favorite moon mission!... Hadley Rille!) commander Dave Scott is alive... i believe Apollo 16 commander John Young (and 1st Space Shuttle mission commander!) and Lunar Module pilot Charlie Duke are still with us as well... Just Googled Harrison Scmitt (Apollo 17 crewmate if Gene Cernan) and he is alive ...

Got to hear Mr. Cernan speak at a conference several years ago. It was fascinating, I still remember it well after all these years. As an elementry school student in the second half of the 60s every kid wanted to be an astronaut. Those guys have always been my heros. It is so sad that we are losing them. It is equally sad that our space program is in such shambles.

As was said in Total Recall and the program Buzz Aldren pushes, "get your ass to Mars!"
