but I will not put them in my first post.

though heavy on some action (I thought the Hulk v Iron Man fight was AWESOME), this was a character driven film. I compared it to The Empire Strike Back. The 2nd film of a trilogy is always a challenge, since it needs to drive the story to the final film, and we're already past the character establishment of the first film, but I think history will be kind to this film.

My biggest criticism/regret is that I watch "The Blacklist", and it was hard to hear Ultron speak with the same cynical mannerisms of Red Reddington, LOL.

Further posts to elaborate . . .

I liked it a lot. I thought it was better than Avengers because James Spader was a great villain and the comedy was really good throughout.

SPOILERS!!!

the romance subplot of Black Widow and Dr Banner was amazing, I did not see it coming. I thought she had a thing for Cap, and Cap's comments to Banner were very well written and delivered. Also nice to see Peggy Carter make an appearance, albeit during "The Last Temptation of Cap" sequence .. .

also pretty amazing that Wheedon was able to introduce The Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and The Vision in the same movie.

SUPER SPOILER! DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANNA KNOW!!!

I kind of felt Quicksilver's death was Marvel's way of conceding the character to the X-Men (sony) films, but I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of him.

Xmen is Fox not Sony, but I dont think that was it. I think they needed to kill someone off and had too much invested in Hawkeye with Civil War coming up. And having a Machine kill a God just wouldnt make sense either.

The reason I say I dont think they were conceding the character is mostly because in the comics recently the High Evolutionary just told the Maximoffs that they are in fact not Mutants and are just genetically engineered humans. Another way for Marvel to devalue the Mutant franchise and push their own version of the characters for films. Like they recently canceled Fantastic Four to hurt that movie (which from the looks of it needs no help in hurting itself).

I would agree though that it is likely he will be brought back somehow...can you say Inhumans? Maybe a trip to the Terrigen Mist via Crystal can bring him back and set up a new love story?

yeah I lose track of who owns who these days, LOL

Agents of SHIELD has been heavily building the Inhumans side of the MCU Phase 3, so I am hoping to see some more crossover there.

any thoughts on Hulk being in GOTG 2?

Next step is to say the siblings aren't related so that they can 'date.' Its the reverse George Lucas approach.
