I historically managed my investments by making adjustments once a year or every couple years. (Stocks in etrade, mutual funds, retirement accounts) Trouble is I have not done that in quite a while and need some help getting back in order but am not sure I am using the right terminology when looking for help. The few advisors I spoken with want me to transfer all my assets to them so they can manage them.
I'd rather pay a single, flat fee for a plan that I will execute. Is this offered by CFP/advisors and what is it called(and is there a way to avoid transferring assets to the advisor)?
I'm looking for someone to discuss my risk tolerance, set an asset allocation plan, identify what to purge from existing holdings and what to buy to get to the appropriate allocation mix and I can handle execution of the plan. I also want tax impact to factor into the plan and my 25 years to retirement.
Going forward, I plan to adjust myself each year or two or may hire again if I feel it is warranted.

Does such a thing exist? Anybody have recommendations on what qualifications to be looking for and what I should be requesting? Do I need a CFP? I have a tool that reports my full portfolio (not huge) even though it is spread in different accounts so it is simple to pull together current holdings.
Thanks in advance.

So you basically want software. Betas of stocks. And an account at a brokerage.

Not sure which one but probably a few out there.

You are looking for a fee-only financial advisor, and they do exist. You can do a search at napfa.org.

The people that want you to give them access to manager your money are in all likelihood seeking the commissions they will make from you. Run away from those people. Find a fiduciary that works on flat fees as Art said.

Since when have financial adjustments been made every year or two? And if we're dealing with short-term investments or forex with portfolio stocks, is it no longer an example? It's not like they're taking these financial offerings out of thin air. When looking for an analyst for your finances, you need to hand over the cases and give reports so that the analyst has something to work with. How do you want him to point out the mistakes if you don't understand how to run an analytical service? Contact https://www.thefinitygroup.com/financial-planning-for-physicians if you don't want to order an audit. No one is interested in your innermost data but you. You need someone to give you a properly formatted schedule of expenditures. What are you willing to do about it?
